TYPES OF SUBMISSION

Types of Submission

Opus Juris: Legal Aid Trust's Journal of Law & Justice (Online) welcomes original and unpublished submissions from academicians, researchers, legal professionals, and law students. Manuscripts may be submitted under the following categories:

  1. Long Articles

    (3,500–10,000 words, excluding footnotes)

This category seeks comprehensive and analytical contributions that explore a specific legal theme or issue in depth. Submissions should critically engage with existing literature, identify gaps in practice or theory, and offer innovative perspectives or practical recommendations. Theoretical and doctrinal contributions are both welcome.

  2. Essays / Short Articles

    (1,200–3,500 words, excluding footnotes)

Essays and short articles provide focused discussion on a particular issue. These submissions should offer fresh insights, critical analysis, and well-defined arguments. Authors are encouraged to present alternative frameworks or novel interpretations within their chosen topic.

  3. Case Notes and Legislative Comments

    (1,200–3,500 words)

This category includes critical analyses of recent judicial decisions, legislative enactments, or policy proposals. Submissions should trace the jurisprudential evolution of the issue and assess the broader implications of the decision or policy. Legislative comments must address the purpose, context, and anticipated impact of the concerned enactment or proposal.
